The battle between the SmartCentres Group and the East Toronto Community Coalition has be ongoing for since June 2004.
With the support of Toronto City Hall and Mayor Miller (finally on the right side of a debate!) – local residents WIN and the big box store LOSES!
The Toronto Star reported the news today in its Greater Toronto section. It was great to finally read about out the Mayor on the side of the local residents, unlike his position on the tax grab imposed last year.
