RRSPs – how’s your retirement fund doing? Why real estate is a better investment!

Further to an earlier article, I want to emphasize that while there have been a decline in real estate prices across Toronto – some parts of the city continue to show price increases! Meanwhile your RRSP account has dwindled and the chance of a recovey any time soon is not likely. While real estate prices across the city have shown a decline over the last few months of 2008, the rate of decline is small compared to the losses on the stock exchange.

 An investment in Toronto real estate anytime in the past 20 years would have yielded double digit increases!
